Uncle
Teddy began his career at the age of 8 working in the family
business Chick & Ruth’s Delly, located at 165 Main
St. Annapolis, Maryland 21401. There his Mom “Ruth”
and Dad “Chick” instilled in him the qualities it
takes to run a successful business.
Uncle Teddy
started from the bottom washing dishes and worked his way up
through the years. In 1973 he opened a candy store in Free State
Mall, which he ran through
high school, and sold when he started college.
Uncle Teddy graduated from the
Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Then went
on to Florida International University. After he graduated
from
there, Uncle Teddy came back to take over the family business. In 1987 Uncle
Teddy opened the Scotlaur
Inn, a top the Restaurant, which is a charming & successful
Colonial Bed and Breakfast in the heart of downtown Annapolis, Maryland.
Uncle
Teddy is also an accomplished Magician. He started with magic
when his mother passed away from cancer. Uncle Teddy wants
to help children with cancer. Uncle Teddy donates the money
he
raises with magic to the American Cancer Society & Anne
Arundel Medical Oncology Center in Memory of his parents.
Uncle
Teddy is one of only fifty-six people to receive the Excaliber
Award from the American Cancer Society, and has donated over
$750,000.00.
Uncle Teddy in now taking his dream world
wide. Since 1965, Uncle Teddy has been making the greatest
Old Fashioned
Milk Shakes and Malts in Chick & Ruth’s Delly, and
still today you can find him there. With his culinary background,
he has also created the greatest tasting Hand Rolled Soft Pretzels
the world has ever tasted.
Now, Uncle Teddys
is being sold across the U.S.A. and in other countries over
the world
so children, women and men of all ages can enjoy Uncle Teddys
Hand Rolled Soft Pretzels as the folks in Annapolis have for
many years.
